Founded in London by Alexandra Hochgürtel and Paula Parole, the Filthy Fox Auction Club emerged as a response to how difficult it can be to navigate the art world after graduation. “We want to provide a stage for creative exchange, connect art grads with a supportive community, and help them make their first sales,” they explain.

The idea was born from a shared frustration: the art market can be intimidating—not only for emerging artists struggling to price and sell their work, but also for potential collectors who often feel excluded or misinformed about how attainable art can be.

Since its launch, Filthy Fox has hosted four auctions across London, redefining what an auction can be. Combining curated spaces, live music, and performative gestures, their events exist between exhibition and experience. Their goal? To make auctions sexy again. Their next auction will take place this November in London, continuing their mission to bring art closer to new audiences and challenge traditional formats.

Every event is also broadcast live on Instagram, allowing people to bid from anywhere in the world. It’s a way of democratizing art—bringing excitement, accessibility, and transparency to a traditionally exclusive system.

Each auction features a hand-selected group of artists, who receive 100% of the hammer price for their works. Both graduates of Central Saint Martins—Paula with an MA in Fine Art, and Alexandra with an MA in Design Management and Graphic Communication Design—the founders are united by a vision: to build a more connected, vibrant, and inclusive art world where creativity and community come first.
