Fernanda Carri (1995) forma parte de una nueva generación de artistas que vale la pena seguir. Nacida en México, trabaja con diversos medios plásticos como la cerámica, la escultura, los textiles y el dibujo. Aunque inició su formación en arquitectura, ha logrado trasladar tanto sus conocimientos técnicos como su sensibilidad personal al mundo del arte.
Fernanda Carri (1995) is part of a new generation of artists worth following. Born in Mexico, she works with various plastic media such as ceramics, sculpture, textiles, and drawing. Although she began her training in architecture, she has successfully transferred both her technical knowledge and personal sensitivity into the world of art.
Su obra, destacada en el marco de Artweek 2025 en CDMX, explora la relación entre lo personal y lo universal, cuestionando temas de identidad y entorno. Carri utiliza el arte como un medio de aprendizaje y confesión, donde el material y el proceso narran historias más allá de la representación figurativa. Su enfoque abstracto permite que la emoción y la experiencia guíen la interpretación del espectador.
Her work, featured at Artweek 2025 in CDMX, explores the relationship between the personal and the universal, questioning themes of identity and environment. Carri uses art as a medium for learning and confession, where material and process narrate stories beyond figurative representation. Her abstract approach allows emotion and experience to guide the viewer’s interpretation.
A lo largo de su trayectoria, ha exhibido su trabajo en México, Italia y Estados Unidos. Actualmente, participa en una residencia artística en Proyecto H, una reconocida galería en la colonia Roma, CDMX. Este espacio permite una inmersión más íntima en su proceso creativo, acercando al espectador a los textos y materiales que acompañan sus piezas.
Throughout her career, she has exhibited her work in Mexico, Italy, and the United States. She is currently participating in an artist residency at Proyecto H, a renowned gallery in the Roma neighborhood of CDMX. This space allows for a more intimate immersion into her creative process, bringing the audience closer to the texts and materials that accompany her pieces.
Entre sus principales referentes se encuentran Louise Bourgeois, Pedro Reyes, Isamu Noguchi y Barbara Hepworth. Sus títulos reflejan su vínculo personal con la práctica artística, convirtiéndola en una experiencia casi terapéutica. Algunas de sus obras llevan nombres como: «El arte me permite habitar más cómodamente en este mundo», «A los dieciocho años empecé a ver mi vida desde otra perspectiva» y «Si el arte fuera una persona, le diría: te quiero, gracias».
