A Laboratory of Ideas: COLLECTIBLE’s Second Edition in NYC

From September 4 to 7, New York hosted the second edition of COLLECTIBLE, the international fair dedicated to contemporary design. The event brought together 128 exhibitors from 24 countries at the newly inaugurated Water Street Associates (WSA) building, a panoramic venue with 360° views of the city. Over the course of four days, the fair welcomed nearly 15,000 visitors.

Del 4 al 7 de septiembre se llevó a cabo en Nueva York la segunda edición de COLLECTIBLE, feria internacional dedicada al diseño contemporáneo. El evento reunió a 128 expositores de 24 países en el recién inaugurado edificio Water Street Associates (WSA), un espacio panorámico con vistas de 360° sobre la ciudad. Durante los cuatro días de feria asistieron cerca de 15,000 visitantes.

COLLECTIBLE’s program was structured into six carefully curated sections: MAIN, BESPOKE, NEWGARDE, FASHION, CURATED, and the newly introduced VIGNETTE, curated by interior designer Michael Hilal in collaboration with Farrow & Ball.

La propuesta de COLLECTIBLE se estructuró en seis secciones cuidadosamente concebidas: MAIN, BESPOKE, NEWGARDE, FASHION, CURATED y la nueva categoría VIGNETTE, curada por el interiorista Michael Hilal en colaboración con Farrow & Ball.

The fair also featured eight panel discussions exploring themes spanning design, fashion, art, hospitality, and other creative industries. In addition, COLLECTIBLE presented immersive experiences that invited the audience to take part, such as the group exhibition Table Top, curated by Michael Yarinsky and Allan Wexler, which reflected on dining rituals through installations and performances.

El programa incluyó además ocho paneles de discusión, en los que se exploraron temas vinculados al diseño, la moda, el arte, la hospitalidad y otros medios creativos. Asimismo, la feria presentó propuestas inmersivas que invitaban al espectador a ser parte de la experiencia, como la exposición grupal Table Top, curada por Michael Yarinsky y Allan Wexler, que reflexionaba sobre los rituales de la mesa a través de instalaciones y performances.

From EXCLAMA, we had the opportunity to take part in this iconic design fair, bringing Latin American design to a global stage. With the participation of Asicaz Monzón-Aguirre, Juan Echeverría, Rosana Escobar, and Agustín Nicolás Rivero, we presented a range of contemporary works rooted in Latin American traditions, at the intersection of art and design, within the fair’s MAIN section.

Desde EXCLAMA tuvimos la oportunidad de participar en esta icónica feria de diseño, llevando el diseño latinoamericano a un escenario global. Con la participación de Asicaz Monzón-Aguirre, Juan Echeverría, Rosana Escobar y Agustín Nicolás Rivero, presentamos una variedad de piezas contemporáneas con raíces latinoamericanas, en la intersección entre arte y diseño, dentro de la sección MAIN de la feria.

With this second edition in New York, COLLECTIBLE has established itself as an essential space for contemporary design, bringing together the international creative community around experimentation and exchange. More than just a fair, it stands as a laboratory of ideas and experiences that projects the future of 21st-century design.

Con esta segunda edición en Nueva York, COLLECTIBLE se consolida como un espacio esencial para el diseño contemporáneo, uniendo a la comunidad creativa internacional en torno a la experimentación y el intercambio. Más que una feria, se afirma como un laboratorio de ideas y experiencias que proyecta el futuro del diseño del siglo XXI.
