The renowned design week makes its comeback from May 16-23, 2024, offering eight days of inspiration and creativity for the global design community and we are thrilled to be media partner of this awesome event!
This year’s theme, ‘Design is All Around Us’, emphasizes community, inclusivity, and the diverse range of design disciplines. The Festival will feature engaging events, inspiring exhibitions, public installations, international trade fairs, and new Keynote programming, spreading design throughout the City and beyond.

Design Districts
The NYCxDESIGN Festival app will activate creativity citywide, uniting design communities for a vibrant week. The app offers a map view for easy event navigation.
In the Flatiron South Public Plaza, Flatiron NoMad Improvement District (BID) will showcase a groundbreaking public art installation. Madison Avenue Business Improvement District (BID) will host its 2nd annual Madison Avenue Design Week from May 16-23.
On May 18, SoHo Design District will mark its 10th anniversary with Soho Design Day Out. The Brooklyn Navy Yard will sponsor the second annual “Design Day at the Yard” on May 18. The Union Square Partnership (USP) and the NYC Department of Transportation Art Program will unveil the 4th annual East 14th Street mural in Union Square.
Museum and School Exhibitions
In support of emerging talent, the Festival collaborates with esteemed institutions such as the Pratt Institute, The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Parsons Industrial Design MFA Program, the School of Visual Arts (SVA), and the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) to host student showcase exhibitions. Additionally, the Wanted Design School Workshop at ICFF will showcase the work of top international design students for the second consecutive year.

This spring, attendees can explore The Guggenheim Museum’s “Jenny Holzer: Light Line” installation, Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum’s “Acquired! Shaping the National Design Collection”, and more. Museum exhibitions are open to the public; please visit the NYCxDESIGN website on April 1 for further details.
